My bedroom is going to multi-task and be a mini-home office, too. So naturally my mind has been buzzing with ideas. I have a couple of the pieces already - a wicker two-shelf stand and a ballet slipper pink desk to start. From those two things I picked a couple more colors and created a little color palette for the place.
The pink is a little off, but that was about the closest I could get. The other three colors are pretty well on for what I'm thinking. What do you think? I made that color palette with the Nearlyweds color palette chooser. Yeah, it's supposed to be for wedding colors, but it worked wonders for my purposes, too!
My room in the house isn't teeny, but it's not massive by any means, either. That means that my mini-home office is going to have to be strategically planned. I love some of the funky little pieces I have so far, but we'll have more on that later. Today I wanted to show you the color scheme and a few of the spaces that have been inspiring me.
My favorite part about this space is the inspiration board and the big art print. I am definitely looking for an art print or two to go above my desk to motivate me. Who doesn't want a shot of confidence every time they look up from that ridiculously long paper?
I'm seriously considering this print from Danielle (Framed Frosting)'s shop. I also really really love this print from Mae Chevrette's shop on Etsy. Actually, her whole shop is pretty awesome for inspirational prints. I've got my eye on a few, but my wallet needs to get a little more plump first.
Not only do these colors get pretty close to matching my color scheme, but I love the use of vertical organization. When dealing with a small space, I don't have a lot of room to spread out. Instead, going up the wall with some of these embossed organizers will help me stay organized in style without giving up the functionality of my space!
This office. I know you've seen it floating around blogland, but it really is the ultimate home office. If I had all the space I wanted, this is what my office would look like. However, since I don't, I'm thinking of incorporating little things like the canvas picture on the wall pictured above. How cute would a nice picture of the boyfriend and I look up there? I also really like the small ornate frame with the scenery in it. That could easily be a small mirror to make my space look a little bigger.
I also really love the white chandelier hanging in that ultimate home office. However, I know I don't have the space or the money to find one of my own. A cute little chandelier wall decal like the one above, though? That I could do. Now if only I could find one in mint green...
In the meantime, got any ideas for me? What would you incorporate into your home office if you had a small space to work with?

That wall decal is so pretty! My biggest advice would be to incorporate your wall space as much as possible without overcrowding it :)
