1. Link up your post about your love of coffee
2. Follow all of your hosts (the first 5 links)

If you've been following me on Instagram for awhile (username is lattesandlove if you're interested!) you have seen a few coffee mug posts here and there. The "Lattes" part of Lattes and Love didn't come out of nowhere. Since I was a little girl I've been drinking coffee (it was mostly milk then - and that's a story for another linkup), which means my love has had over a decade to grow. And grow it has - right along with my coffee mug collection.

Today I thought it would be fun to give you a little sneak peek of the madness that is my crazy coffee mug collection. It started with just one, as any spiraling addiction does, and before I knew it I had more coffee mugs than days in the week. Well, I've got more coffee mugs than days in a couple weeks, really - I'm probably verging on enough coffee mugs to not run out for a month.

Let's begin the tour, shall we? And hey, don't say I didn't warn you.

Here is a small sampling of the craziness that is my supremely eclectic collection of mugs. They all have their own personality and I like them all for different reasons. Some of them were gifts from loved ones, some of them were impulse buys so I didn't have to get a to-go cup. Some of them were mugs I stared at time and time again while in line at Starbucks before I finally caved and bought it. (Some of them are loved because... they were free!)

But all of those cups get used with frightening frequency. Especially now that I'm in a house with three other girls (but I assure you, all the mugs pictured here are mine. I'm not cheating and showing you four girls worth of mugs. These puppies belong to one girl. Scary, huh?). Three of us are huge coffee drinkers - we probably go through about three little pots and one French press a day.

For part two, I must confess - a number of my coffee mugs are in the dishwasher right now. Well, there's two on the coffee table in the living room in front of me, but there's at least three or four (probably more like five or six) in the dishwasher. So to supplement, I thought I'd give you a couple pics of the coffee making station. We have one mini-pot, one maker that makes two to-go cups, and a French press (not pictured).

To give you a mental picture - we've lived in the house together for just over a week and that big thing of coffee creamer is almost gone. Yep. We have problems.

Anyway, my coffee mugs are a definite addiction and I will almost guaranteed buy at least five more before the year is up, but I justify it pretty easily. I justify it with a love of caffeine and the fact that really, these babies get used all the time.

Life gets a whole lot more poetic when your morning cup of coffee is sipped from a cute little mug. A picturesque moment creates the canvas for a picturesque day. That's my theory. It's still being tested.

At the very least enjoying coffee in a cute mug provides you with a moment of sheer relaxation to reflect on when your day starts getting hectic: also known as the moment after you finish that first cup (because let's be honest -there will be more cups).

Got a mug collection to rival mine? Love a specific mug? Just have a coffee-loving tale to tell? Then come on, link up with us! We'd love to have you! And Pssst. Don't forget to enter the giveaway us fabulous co-hosts are putting on!
